Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team and ensure that our automotive products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to maintaining excellence in our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspections of automotive parts, components, and assemblies to verify compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Use precision measurement tools and equipment to conduct inspections and tests, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Document inspection results by completing reports, logs, and entering data into quality control databases.
- Identify, document, and report any defects or non-conformities found during inspections.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address and resolve quality issues, providing feedback and recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quality control and inspection.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in the automotive industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, standards, and practices.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality control software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Work is typically performed in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and other elements common to automotive manufacturing settings.
